　　Writer's POV

　　"Oh shit! I'm running late" Mandy screamed out to herself as she ran out of her apartment to the roadside to wait for a cab.

　　She stood for some minutes before seeing a cab, she waved the cabby man down and jumped into the back sit.

　　"LñD corp" she said to the cabby man and he started driving.

　　Mandy brought out her mirror and started checking out her looks. She doesn't have much time to take care of herself because of her two siblings.

　　Her twin siblings, everyday she has to wake them up. Bath them and take them to school before coming back to dress up and go to her working place.

　　Today, her siblings wasted her time because of their laziness. They refused waking up early because they slept late last time due to the movie that they all watched.

　　And now she is running late to work.

　　But she is a bit lucky because her apartment is not too far from LñD corp.

　　In fifteen minutes, the cabby stopped in front of the company, she paid him before stepping down out from the cab.

　　She started walking into the company hastily and when she had gotten to the elevator that will take her to her department, she imputed the number of the floor and the elevator took her up to the floor.

　　Her heart pounded as she walked in, afraid of being scolded by her boss.

　　"Mandy good morning" she heard her boss's voice from behind.

　　She forced a smile before turning to look at him.

　　"Good morning Mr Mark" she greeted.

　　"Work starts by 8:00Am, this is 9:31Am, any excuse for that?" Mr Mark asked.

　　"Oh...I'm so sorry, you know I have to take care of my two siblings. Today they refused waking up early, I'm so sorry" Mandy apologized.

　　"Uhm..I think I'll buy that but the chairman sends for you" Mr Mark said.

　　Mandy's eyes widened.

　　"Oh goodness! What else did I do wrong?" Mandy asked almost crying out.

　　"I don't know, you should find out yourself" Mr Mark answered him and walked away.

　　Mandy quickly walked to her desk and kept her bag, she rushed to the elevator that will take her to the second floor where the chairman's office is located.

　　She waited for the elevator to open before getting in. After getting in, she pressed the button of the second floor and sighed deeply.

　　She prayed in her heart that she doesn't get fired or scolded again. She doesn't understand why the chairman will send for her.

　　She kept breathing in and out until the elevator door opened. She stepped out of the elevator and walked towards the only office built in the second floor.

　　She turned to knock at the office door but was stopped by the chairman's secretary.

　　"What do you want, mandy?" The chairman's secretary asked.

　　"Um..I heard the chairman sent for me" replied Mandy.

　　"Okay, let me" the chairman's secretary said and walked to the door.

　　She knocked on it and heard the chairman's voice.

　　"Come on" his thick voice ushered her in.

　　She opened the door and got in.

　　"Sir, a worker by the name mandy is here to see you" the secretary said politely.

　　"Let her in" Mandy heard from where she stood.

　　She breathed in and out again.

　　"You can go in" the secretary beckoned her in.

　　She nodded and got in. The chairman's secretary got out and closed the door behind her.

　　"Good morning sir" Mandy greeted the middle aged looking man behind his desk.

　　"Take a sit" the chairman offered.

　　"Yes sir" replied Mandy as she did as instructed.

　　"So I heard you have had experience being a secretary before?" The chairman asked.

　　Mandy paused before answering.

　　"Yes sir" replied Mandy.

　　"Okay good. My son will be returning from the US this week, probably next tomorrow. And he is gonna start working here as the CEO because I'll be retiring soon."

　　"I need him to have a secretary who is competent and hard-working. I heard from Mark that you are really hard-working and that is why I'm giving you this opportunity and beside you have been with us for a while now. I hope you don't mind" said the chairman.

　　Mandy opened her mouth to reply but couldn't out of happiness.

　　That means promotion for her.

　　"Oh my gosh!" She exclaimed when she finally found her tongue.

　　"I don't mind sir, thank you for this opportunity" she thanked sincerely.

　　"Yes, I need you to aid him in everything. I want him to know a lot about the company in a couple of weeks, can you help him with that?" The chairman inquired.

　　"Of course sir" replied Mandy cheerfully.

　　"Alright. His office is at the top floor, take some cleaners there to go clean his office and also arrange your desk" the chairman instructed.

　　"On it sir" Mandy replied then stood up.

　　"Thanks again sir, for trusting me" Mandy thanked as she got up.

　　"Actually you should thank Mark, he recommended you strongly to me" the chairman said.

　　"Okay sir,I'll be on my way. Excuse me" Mandy replied before leaving his office full of happiness.
